Toeplitz subshifts of finite rank

摘要:There are several notions of rank in existence for minimal Cantor systems, but the notion of finite rank turns out to be the same. In this talk I will speak about several basic problems about Toeplitz subshifts of finite rank, including the characterization problem, the classification problems (particularly conjugacy and flip conjugacy), and the orbit equivalence problem. For example, we will show that the conjugacy problem and the flip conjugacy problem for Toeplitz subshifts of topological rank 2 are both hyperfinite and non-smooth. We also obtain some upper and lower bounds for the orbit equivalence for Toeplitz subshifts in the Borel reducibility hierarchy. This is joint work with Ruiwen Li, Bo Peng, and Yiming Sun.
